Really pleased that my new range of Deconstructions is doing well. These were a slight change of direction for me - a step away from 'pure' photography, and a step towards artwork. I wanted them to be contemporary pieces, that celebrate the great architecture of Newcastle and Gateshead - basically the subject matter that got me into photography nearly 15 years ago.
This piece - Baltic at the Builder's Yard - is one of the quirkiest, and I nearly didn't include it in the range. It has proven to be one of the most popular so far.
Deconstructions are available through this website and in the Biscuit Factory gallery in Newcastle, at £295 framed.
“Thank you for the beautiful picture of Embleton Bay which I received today. It brings back wonderful childhood memories of summer holidays spent there!”
